General questions
-
Yes!
Most of our new patients have their intake appointment with our GP, this combined with our collaborative model of care means we are able to share the load across our practitioners and support a greater number of families. -
Yes! We have a neonatal paediatrician (babies 0-2yrs) as well as general paediatricians on staff. Our GP team also see babies up to teens and many of our allied health and wellness practitioners also see infants.
-
Our practitioners work as a team. This means your child can easily get input from multiple practitioners without you having to obtain records, reports, and keep track of information.
With your consent our practitioners work together to ensure your child is getting a tailored care plan. This may involve practitioner-to-practitioner collaboration without the burden of additional appointments!
This is particularly useful if your child is seeing us for behavioural, developmental or complex concerns. -
We can accept them, but it is not essential!
In most cases your initial appointment will be with an in house GP who has a special interest in paediatrics. They will ensure we have a comprehensive patient and family history and all relevant investigations are obtained before an individual care plan is developed for your child. If seeing a specialist is required, they can arrange this.
If you already have a GP referral that is completely ok too - complete our new patient enquiry and we will get back to you with next steps. -
You can reach us anytime via email - reception@bundlejunior.com.au or phone (03) 5970 5353.

Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to supporting families navigating neurodivergence. Our philosophy centres on caring for the whole family, recognising that each journey is unique and evolves over time.
Assessments are coordinated through our GP team, with our psychologist offering cognitive and educational assessments, and our paediatrician providing formal diagnosis where appropriate. From there, we work closely with each family to develop a comprehensive, individualised care plan that includes ongoing support and parent education.
We believe in walking alongside families for as long as they need us — providing continuity of care, guidance, and reassurance at every stage, rather than stepping away before you feel ready.
-
No, we are a private billing clinic and all fees are payable in full on the day. We will submit your invoice to medicare on the day of service for a rebate where applicable, including GP Chronic Condition Plan and Mental Health Care Plan rebates.
We cannot process NDIS claims, however if you are self managing your plan we can take payment on the day and provide you with the invoice and receipt to claim back yourself.
-
Fees are based on the nature of the appointment (as different item numbers attract different fees), the length of the appointment and the practitioner. A fee schedule can be provided to you when we confirm who your initial appointment will be with.
-
We understand that sometimes life happens. We are happy to cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 24 hours prior with no charge.
A cancellation on the day of an appointment, or a failure to attend will result in the full fee being payable.
If your child is unwell, we can also change to a telehealth if your child will still be with you.
We often have many families waiting to get to their first appointment. If you know you will be unable to attend we kindly as you to advise us as early as possible, so that the spot can be offered to somebody else. -
Generally we are unable to to facilitate the complexities of these care arrangements. However we do understand that no two situations are the same. Please submit a new patient enquiry with as much detail as possible and we will review with the team and advise asap.
-
Yes, providing both parents can provide written consent to care. Medication cannot be prescribed under any circumstances without both parents approval.
-
Our practitioners use AI scribe software to record audio of consultations. This allows them to focus their attention on you and your child, whilst still creating details patient records.
However, you will always be asked if you consent to the scribe being used and even if obtained, your consent can be withdrawn at any time. -
That is absolutely fine!
Your consent will always be obtained before any discussion about your child with other practitioners or teachers.
Your primary doctor will also advise which practitioners are likely to be the best fit for your child’s ongoing care, so you are fully informed about who may be involved in the team discussions.

Complete our enquiry form to help us understand your child and the support they may need. Please include as much detail as possible.
Once we receive your enquiry, our team will review the information and recommend the most appropriate next step for your child and family. If you are at the beginning of your journey, your first appointment will usually be with our GP team, who will coordinate your child’s ongoing care plan. This applies even if you already have an assessment report from a psychologist, as the medical component of a diagnosis still needs to be completed.
If your child has previously seen a paediatrician who is no longer able to provide care, we will review your enquiry to determine whether our service is the right fit and will let you know as soon as possible.
-
Your first appointment will be with one of our GPs. No referral is required to see them. They will gather and review all relevant information, arrange any additional assessments if needed, and ensure your child has a thorough initial work-up before a care pathway is established.
This appointment is typically 45–60 minutes, allowing time for a comprehensive history and the opportunity to truly understand your child and your concerns.
With your consent, your child’s case will then be discussed within our multidisciplinary team to determine the most appropriate next steps. This may include referral to a paediatrician, input from allied health, or a follow-up GP review to gather further information or monitor progress. Recommendations will also take into account your child’s age and educational setting.
-
Whether your child initially needs support from a single practitioner or a broader multidisciplinary team, our model of care allows us to adapt as your child’s needs evolve.
At any stage, we can step back, reassess, and work together to adjust your child’s care plan in response to changing circumstances.
Providing families with a trusted, centralised team and access to education is the Bundle Junior difference. Caring for your child can be overwhelming — let us help coordinate that journey for you.

These requests are assessed on a case by case basis. We want to ensure that all children requiring assessment and care can be seen, sometimes this means we can’t facilitate taking over the care of patients who already have a paediatrician.
We can however, still offer allied health support.
Please contact us though to discuss your specific circumstances.

If we are your first stop, and you are wanting to see a specialist, we can make you an appointment with one of our GPs who can take a comprehensive history and establish treatment goals and refer to one of our specialists if required.
You do not need a referral to see an allied health practitioner, however you might be eligible for a Chronic Care Management Plan or Mental Healthcare Plan, which would give you access to medicare rebates for a set number of appointments, both of these require a referral from a GP.

If you are seeing a specialist, but have a completely new/unrelated concern, this requires a new referral. You can make an appointment with one of our GPs to discuss options for this.
-
Sometimes these things happen! Please email our friendly team at reception@bundlejunior.com.au and we will pass the request on to the relevant practitioner.
Please be mindful that our practitioners are not here every day, and sometimes they do take leave so time sensitive requests cannot always be accommdated, but we will do our best. -
Your doctor will always book reviews in line with script requirements. It is really important that you are mindful of this if you change or move an appointment.
Authority scripts also only last for 6 months so please be mindful of this if you adjust a dose or when filling repeats. If you really need a script issued outside of an appointment, please send an email to reception@bundlejunior.com.au. If it is deemed medically appropriate to issue outside of your regular schedule we will let you know.
-
Our practitioners all consult a full clinical load and want to ensure all patients get a very high level of care. They cannot provide consultations over emails.
If you have information you want us to add to your child’s file to discuss at a future appointment (including any family observations you don’t want to forget!) feel free to email reception@bundlejunior.com.au and we can add it to your childs file.
If you require a more comprehensive conversation we are happy to book you a telehealth review, however please note these will be charged and a medicare rebate only applies if your child is present.
-
Your child’s care is not linear and sometimes this will happen. Please email reception@bundlejunior.com.au or phone us on 5970 5353 and we will either bring your child’s appointment forward, or put them on a cancellation list if an appointment isn’t readily available.
